Zune 120 Repair Service

Attention > We no longer provide motherboard replacement service for Zune 120 players. Unfortunately, if your Zune 120 has a defective motherboard we will not be able to replace it. These motherboards have become impossible to source cost effectively. Even with this motherboard dilemma, there are still many other Zune 120 problems we can repair. 

Zune 120 problems we most likely can repair for you:  Most contact support and error 5 messages, Clicking hard drive, Cracked LCD Screen, Trouble booting-up, Black or blank display, Weak or dead battery, One-side audio, Damaged front case, Hear noise inside, Broken lock switch or slider, Cracked case glass, Skipping songs, Button not working, Dented rear case, Headphone jack trouble, Plays music but not videos, Music will not sync with PC, Touch pad inoperative.

Zune 120 problems we most likely cannot repair:  Damaged sync port, USB device not recognized, Some liquid damage issues, Some power and charging issues, Some contact support and error 5 messages.

Also, we need to mention a couple more things about the Zune 120.

Front Case. There is a chance the front case clips could get damaged during disassembly. The 120 case materials are fragile and the clips can sometimes crack or break off, preventing the cases from reassembling well. Most of the time there is no noticeable damage and the cases reinstall with no trouble. However, if the front case cannot be reinstalled, it will need to be replaced at an extra cost of $25. We figure there is a 10% chance this could happen.

Clear Coat. During disassembly, the shiny clear coat finish could chip off the edge in a few small spots. Along the edge of the front case where it meets the metal rear case. The front is not effected. Unfortunately this is unavoidable due to the fancy high gloss finish. We figure there is a 25% chance this could happen. 

Just so we all understand.  If you send in your Zune and we diagnose the motherboard as defective, we will not be able to repair it.
